Q: What is Search Engine Placement Maintenance?
A : Once we acquire positions/placements/listings within the search engines for your web site, if they are not maintained, they will simply drop and eventually dissapear. Your competition is submitting their web sites as well, and they will eventually gain your positions. Since it takes time and effort for us to maintain these placements, we need to charge a fee. But not only will we maintain your search engine placements, we will continue to acquire new placements.
Q: What is a gateway page and why would I need this for my web site?
A : Search engines require STATIC content. If you pull up your web site in your browser (Explorer or Netscape), click "view" and then "source" at the top of your browser screen. The first thing that you would usually see is the "meta tags". Meta tags are comprised of a title, description and keywords. After the meta tags, you would usually find your site body content. The same content that your visitors would read on the front page of your web site, would normally be listed within your web site programming. If you cannot access that content, then how will the search engines? The content may be being pulled from another location; for example, a database. The purpose of a gateway page is to provide the search engines with Static content, and then link that content to your actual web site. "Gateway Page" as in the gateway or doorway for the search engines to your web site. Programming languages have advanced, whereas the search engines have not. The best search engine results actually come from basic web pages, usually created by their owners with a simple HTML program, whom do not understand the complexity of web design. Why? Because the search engines prefer simplicity!
Q: Who selects the keywords for my web site?
A : If you have keywords in mind, we would start with those. Your selected keywords are researched for both their search value (how many searches are actually performed for them) and competition value (how many other web sites out there are already placed using the same keywords). During this process, called keyword analysis, more targeted and searched keywords may be discovered. (It's amazing how many highly searched targeted keywords out there have little to no competition). These are keywords that will put you at a advantage over your competition. Keyword analysis is the most time consuming (and most important) process of this program, as the success of your visitor traffic will be based on the keywords selected and placed. But the Client always has the final keyword approval.
Q: How soon can I expect placements?
A : Search Engine Placements can be noted in as early as 72 hours, along with search engine visitor traffic.
Q: What if I sign up for your program and do not recieve any sales?
A : We cannot guarantee sales to a web site, as this is based on several other factors for which we have no control, such as: Web Site Design, Ease Of Use/Site Navigation, Site Loading Time, Site Hosting Up-Time, Payment Options, Pricing, Product(s), Service(s) Offered and Competition.
